TTM Technologies: Robotics Engineering Co-op

I developed and improved factory analysis software by leveraging Ignition, Python, and SQL to analyze and visualize data from a variety of industrial machines. This work involved collaborating with the team to plan, develop, test, and deploy software solutions across 17 factories. Additionally, I refactored existing analysis software to operate on three layers of abstraction instead of two, enabling more advanced data processing and higher-level insights for manufacturing operations.

I also designed and built a robotic workcell for PCB testing, utilizing an Epson T3 robotic arm, solder pot, and chemical wash station. This project included selecting and integrating electronics, designing a custom wiring harness, modeling and fabricating the fixed end-effector, and programming the robot for automated operation. I conducted design reviews throughout the process, validating feasibility before construction and implementation. The workcell is currently operating in TTM's Toronto plant.
